VN Holden Commodore developed by HSV Commodore SS Group A The twin throttle body fuel injected engine based on the Holden 5.0 litre V8 was extensively modified and produced 215 kW @ 5200 rpm and 411 N·m of torque @ 4000 rpm. The VN group A Commodore used a six-speed ZF S6-40 manual transmission as used in the ZR-1 Corvette.  Other model HSV Commodores used either 180 kW  241 hp & a 200 kW 268 hp versions of the Holden V8. The HSV Maloo ute was a VG series Holden ute.  The HSV Statesman used the 5000i Holden V8 single throttle body engine fitted with tubular headers, revised camshaft produced 200 kW 268 hp.

Listed Below are the Holden 253 & 308 engine bolt torque settings. Note some after market conrod bolts, head stud kits & main stud kits may use a higher or lower setting. It is advised to check the manufacturers specifications regarding after market fasteners
